SNOW!

Image
No, Macie doesn't have dandruff, that's snow! We got our first snow in our new house yesterday, even if it was kind of puny. Macie was very excited about the snow and wanted to eat it too.

Day 5 & 6 - Epcot on Day 5 and back to Hollywood Studios and Blizzard Beach on day 6. So I was super tired last night, and too lazy to blog, so anyone reading this is getting a double dose today! Yesterday we went to Epcot, which we learned stands for Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow. We went on quite a few rides, never having to wait longer than 20 minutes again! We've had such good luck! We even saw Nemo, his dad Marlin and Dorri! We also went on Mission: SPACE (below). It was awful. Bryan loved it, but the thing almost made me puke. It was a virtual reality thing that spun you all around without you realizing it. It was not fun, but I smiled for the camera anyway. We also rode Spaceship Earth, which came with cool 3-D glasses! They took a picture of us at the beginning of the ride, and then they put our heads on futuristic bodies for a story at the end. Epcot also showcases different cultures, including Morocco, where they like to belly dance. Later that n

Day 4 - Magic Kingdom

Today was Magic Kingdom! Here we are representing our Alma mater. Later, I put Bryan in stocks. He was not happy about this. We got there pretty close to the opening, and so we headed to Splash Mountain first, figuring that it would be busy the rest of the day. We walked right on, probably because most people were too cold to ride it. This is the photo from our first drop. I had fun, Bryan seems scared again... This is the photo from our second drop, which we also walked right onto later in the afternoon. It was still a bit cloudy and cold, and no one was riding, so we went back to take a photo in honor of the Koreans! After this plunge, we finished the ride, and were about to get unloaded, but they wouldn't let us out. Apparently, the ride broke down, so we were stranded there for over half an hour waiting for the all clear. It sucked because we had gotten soaked on the ride, and were really cold....but eventually we got off and headed out for more fun. We took a trip to Tom

Day 3

Today was Hollywood Studios! We knew it would be a bit more rainy today, so we went to Hollywood Studios, where most of the attractions are under cover. It only rained for a few minutes while we were outside, but there were still plenty of crowds. I had to snap a photo of the biggest sham we've seen so far on this trip....plastic ponchos for $7.50. Way to go Disney...you have now capitalized on not only the useless stuffed animal trade, but also preyed upon the unwarranted rain phobias of 80 percent of the world's citizenry. It was hilarious to watch all these people flock to the poncho carts and fork over money for a glorified plastic bag which they used for about 15 minutes. Below is Streets of America, which is outside. Later on that night, the streets of America lit up! They had a whole light show with every building covered in lights! We got to tour the Disney back lot, and we even saw the gun from Honey I Shrunk the Kids! Btw , that is one of the best movies of all tim

In honor of the 14-degree weather in Oregon, we went to Blizzard Beach today to enjoy the 85-degree weather here in Florida! We rode tons of waterslides, and Bryan's favorite was the tobaggan (as seen below). They also had a wave pool that Bryan enjoyed and I enjoyed getting some color (no sun burn though!). Then there was Mt. Gushmore....where a lot of the slides went off of. In order to get up to the mountain, we first rode the ski lift (shown below), and later walked a ton of stairs to get back off (a very good workout!). The scariest ride was Summit Plummet, which is seen below. You start out at the very top and then go into the dark on a straight 120-foot drop. I probably would have peed my pants if I wasn't flying so fast! After Blizzard Beach, we went back to the hotel, got cleaned up and drove into downtown Orlando for dinner. We ate at Cheesecake Factory, which was absolutely awesome. Now we are stuffed and enjoying a relaxing evening. Do we have to come home?
