I know it's been a while...

So plenty of things have happened to blog about, but time has been short. Last week we had an extended game night with intramural bball games after the normal game night. On of the funniest things ever at game night was watching Isla try to roll over. I know that doesn't really sound funny, but if you could have seen her, it was! she would get so close and be kicking her little legs, but would just get stuck. Below you can see her superman pose. The boys won their first intramural game, and then the team they were supposed to play in the second game didn't show, so they won the forfeit! Andy came and played, and Anna and Noah came along too. It was fun to see them - Noah is getting so big! Here is a photo of him and his blue eyes! Fast forward to Saturday.....Valentine's Day. Bryan and I ran some errands in the morning and afternoon, and then took Macie with us out to the Cabin to relax a bit. Macie loved the creek, and all night she just wanted to go outside and play! It's not supposed to last for long, so I'm not too worried about Macie turning into a Pupsicle while I'm gone at work...

Staying preoccupied

Since Bryan is gone, I have to schedule things to do so I don't end up sitting around the house being bored on Saturdays....rough life, I know. So last Saturday, I called Beth and we had lunch together at La Hacienda....best Mexican food ever, and I even tried to hook her up with the greasy mexican mulleted waiter. He did give her a price discount, so I think it's love! JK. We had a great time just talking and eating and it was good to catch up with her. Then I went over to Alicia's and looked at her Bahamas pictures and then we went shopping. It was originally supposed to be a shopping trip to get her jeans, but I'm the one who ended up buying a pair....how does that happen? The day before, Macie had attacked me while I was wearing other jeans and she ripped a hole in them, so I figured I needed some new ones...and I had no husband to protest.... When I got home from Alicia's, Shane came over and we went with the Kims to Corvallis to watch Stephen and Yul (youth gr

Melissa's birthday

Last night around 6:15, I was sitting on my couch with Macie sleeping next to me, playing solitare on my computer. I was watching friends, the one where Phoebe has the triplets and wants to steal one. All of a sudden, the screen zaps black and all my lights go out, except my laptop, because it has a battery. Macie wakes up and doesn't understand why it's so dark and I didn't get it because it wasn't even stormy! It was raining a little, but that's all. I don't know what people did before cell phones....I called my aunt and uncle's house up the road, and the phone just kept ringing and ringing, meaning their power was out too. I called my aunt's cell phone and she was at Jackson's basketball game. The rest of the kids were at home she said, and they had already called her. Since I didn't have a phone book at my house, I packed up Macie and drove up the hill to their house, where they were already breaking out the lamps and flashlights. I used thei

A fun day

Yesterday was great because Bryan and I started it out right with free breakfasts at Denny's! Yep, we cashed in on the crowded promotion of free Grand Slams at 6 a.m. yesterday, then I went off to work early and Bryan to school. I got off work early to go with Bryan to see five of the youth group kids swim (see Bryan's blog), and then got home and went to Bryan, Jason, and Kyle's intramural games at Corban. We had a good time watching the guys get really sore and tired. I love days that are filled with activities, I feel like I accomplish so much, plus I have something to blog about!
