Baby room continued...

We bought this old wooden dresser on Craigslist for $30.After lots of sanding and staining on Bryan's part, here is the finished product (below)... we bought new knobs too ($16) and painted them to match the polka dots and the wall. I also got a cute basket to put on top...it will probably hold diapers. We are going to use the dresser as a changing table too.
I've also finished two of the wall art canvases....here are the corners!

I had a baby girl last Tuesday. There was no pushing. No pain. No first cry. I had baby girl last Tuesday, 174 days too early. For nearly 15 weeks, she was ours. Blazer mania

This post is a bit late, but I've been swamped at work, so better late than never. So going back 6 months, my mom's dog had puppies. Each of the 12 pups sold for $400 or more, and my parents named them after what they wanted to buy with that specific $400. For instance, one was named Sony, to fund a new TV for their house. Another was named Blaze. The money made when Blaze sold (for $800) went to buying Blazer tickets for our family. My parents bought ten 200 level tickets for the last game of the Blazer's season, against the Denver Nuggets (April 15). So last Wednesday, we piled into the family van, stopped at Jackie and Ed's (Tigard) for dinner and then went to the game. Who went? My parents, Uncle Ed, Bryan and I, Steven, Shane, my cousins Jacob and Blake and Blake's girlfriend Ashley. Cayden Elizabeth Ann Bernard

After 17 hours of contractions, 14 hours at the hospital and 1 blessed epidural 9 hours in, little Cayden Elizabeth Ann Bernard entered the world at 8:03 p.m. on March 7, 2011. She weighed in at 8 pounds, 4 ounces and was 21 inches long. Daddy's hands. First bath. Grandma and grandpa Bernard had been waiting at the hospital for about 12 hours! Along with my parents, and eventually 7 other family members! They sure filled that waiting room! Sun came to see us the next day, along with about 20 other friends and family members! Lauren was away at DECA state when Cayden was born, but when we got home on Wednesday, she got to see her host sister for the first time. We are so blessed! More to come of course, as time permits! She sure likes to eat!!
